This is an automated service. You would normally receive a response within one minute of sending the SMS. |
| Can I get maps of any Australian area? |
Yes. this is a national service with coverage of the whole of Australia. Remember you must SMS a suburb name and a state as a minimum to get back valid maps. |
| How often are the 1976maps updated? |
Our TerraPages map server is updated every 3 months. That means that a new subdivision or suburb should automatically appear within 6 month as a maximum. |
| Can I use my home computer to retrieve my maps as well as my phone? |
Yes. Once you have sent a SMS to 1976maps with a valid address and received your map URL's you can put these map URL's into any internet enabled browser. |
| Can I use a prepaid mobile phone? |
Optus and Vodafone pre-paid customers can use the service. All other prepaid customers , please check with you carrier if you are able to use premium SMS service. |
| DO I need to register to use 1976MAPS. |
While registration is not required to use the 1976MAPS service, we recommended that you do, so in the future we can make the 1976MAPS service even better. |
| Is 1976MAPS a subscription service? |
NO, when using 1976MAPS you are only charged for each SMS you receive (55 cents). |
